However, significant financial information about the company is available through research. Initially funded by the three founders who each contributed $33 million, DreamWorks was also initially capitalized by an investment of $500 million from Microsoft co-Founder, <a title=\"Official Website\" href=\"http:\/\/www.paulallen.com\" target=\"_blank\">Paul Allen<\/a>. In 2013, the founders began streamlining operations to focus on improving profits.
