Entravision Communications Corporation<\/a> is a diversified Spanish-language media company that was established in 1996 by Walter F. Ulloa and Philip C. Wilkinson with the corporate headquarters in Santa Monica, California. \u00a0With its media assets, Entravision has strategically located television stations and radio stations in places that have a fast-growing and high-density U.S Hispanic markets.<\/p>\n Univision<\/a> and TeleFutura<\/a> serve as the company’s two major television affiliate group assets. \u00a0With these assets, Entravision own and operate 53 primary television stations across the United States. \u00a0Of these 53 primary television stations, 20 of them are in the top 50 U.S Hispanic Markets.<\/p>\n The radio group operates one of the largest Spanish-language radio stations in the United States. \u00a0This is one of the 48 radio stations we own with 47 of them being located in the top 50 U.S Hispanic Markets.<\/p>\n Walter F. Boelke – General Counsel, Vice President of Legal Affair and Secretary<\/p>\n On March 7, 2012, Entravision released their fourth quarter earnings<\/a>. \u00a0The company had a slight decrease in net revenue compared to last year. \u00a0Entravision is still working on their debt situation. \u00a0They realize the need for all of their capital, which has made them makes moves to undoing their debt. \u00a0Since December 2011, they have been retracing their steps to cover their debt and return the appreciation to their shareholders by giving a dividend per share back to the shareholders, while repurchasing their 8.750% Senior Secured First Lien Notes to ensure money to the bank. Click here to see the stock quote for Entravision<\/a>.<\/p>\n October 28, 2011<\/strong>: Entravision announced that its top morning drive program, “”El Show de Alex ‘El Genio’ Lucas,” gained high audience recognition in the Albuquerque, New Mexico and Sacramento and Riverside-San Bernardino, California markets. \u00a0In Albuquerque, on KRZY-FM<\/a>, it achieved its highest rating since 1999 with a 5.3 share during the time period for Adults 18-49. \u00a0In addition to this, it was the number one rated Spanish-language radio show in its market. \u00a0On KLYY-FM<\/a>, in Sacramento and Riverside-San Bernardino, was the highest rated show regardless of language in the market in the demographics of Persons 6+, Adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, with shares at 6.7, 9.4 and 8.3 respectively. \u00a0The ratings numbers on both of these markets is vital information for Entravision as they continue to be the leader in Spanish-language radio. \u00a0But what some of these statistics show is becoming stronger and reaching to more of the Hispanic community.<\/p>\n November 30, 2011<\/strong>: Entravision, in an effort with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals<\/a>, announced it raised a record $2,001,050. \u00a0This is the fourth year Spanish-language\u00a0Radiothon to benefit the hospital and has been the most successful one by far, almost doubling the $1.2 million raised last year. \u00a0What this $2 million shows is the reach and the power of Entravision radio. \u00a0It proves that the station has not only a large number of viewers in their markets, but also loyal viewers who listen to the station constantly and want to help it the best they can. \u00a0This shows how the Hispanic community has loyal \u00a0viewers who will recognize the radio station they like and then will stay with that station. \u00a0The amount raised for the hospital does not only tell us the strength of Entravision’s radio platform, but also their reach in the Spainish-language media world.<\/p>\n December 6, 2011<\/strong>: Entravision has repurchased $16.2 million of its 8.750% Senior Secured First Lien notes due 2017. \u00a0This will cause there to be a one-time cash dividend of $0.06 per share to shareholders causing the total amount of money to be disbursed to be<\/p>\n Walter F. Ulloa \u00a9Entravision 2012<\/p><\/div>\n approximately $5.1 million. \u00a0This action by Entravision is in an effort to install confidence in the company’s current shareholders and their future shareholders. \u00a0Walter F. Ulloa, Chairman and CEO of Entravision, realizes the importance of regaining balance in their company and return value to the shareholders. \u00a0The company is showing they know the importance of regaining their capital and losing their debt so they can continue to move forward and improve their performance in the media world.<\/p>\n January 9, 2012<\/strong>: Entravision announced that they have promoted Mario M. Carrera to the new position of Senior Vice President of Spanish-Language Television. \u00a0With this title,<\/p>\n Mario M. Carrera \u00a9Entravision 2012<\/p><\/div>\n Carrera now runs and manages all of Entravision’s Spanish-language television entities. \u00a0Carrera is excited for the opportunity because with the rapid growth of the Hispanic community along with the television assets Entravision has, he is in a good position to help the company become a stronger force in the Hispanic community along with advertising. \u00a0This is a great chance for the company to generate and continue to influence the Hispanic community around the United States to get involved not only in their community, but in the U.S as a whole. \u00a0With the U.S Hispanic population growing at a rate six times faster than any other population it is becoming even more vital for that community to understand the world around them and how they can make a difference and be heard.<\/p>\n March 9, 2012<\/strong>: Entravision announced that it will start a new show called “Perspectiva Nacional con Armando Guzman.” \u00a0This show will be showed on all 24 Univision affiliate\u00a0owned and operated station and give a weekly political public affairs view. \u00a0The show can<\/p>\n Armando Guzman \u00a9Media Moves 2012<\/p><\/div>\n be viewed in major battleground states including California, Florida and Texas. \u00a0Having this show in states with a high Hispanic community population will give that community a better understanding of the politics that are occurring in the world around them. \u00a0What Guzman brings to this show is an award-winning anchor from Washington D.C, who can provide the content to the Hispanic community in a way in which they will understand the issues concerning them. \u00a0The show will also stress on the upcoming election so they know of the major issues. \u00a0“Perspectiva Nacional con Armando Guzman” will begin airing on March 11, 2012 at 8:30 a.m E.T. \u00a0This is the next move that Entravision has made in their attempt to educate the Hispanic community and all of their listeners of politics. \u00a0This comes after they had an exclusive interview with President Barack Obama<\/a> on May 12, 2011. \u00a0With this, Entravision is continuing to educate the Hispanic community of politics and urge them to get involved not only in their community, but also in the United States.<\/p>\n March 26, 2012<\/strong>: Entravision Communications Corporation was given two\u00a0Medallas de Cortez Awards<\/a>\u00a0at the Hispanic Radio Awards hosted by Radio Ink<\/a> in San Diego. \u00a0The<\/p>\n Medallas de Cortez Hispanic Radio Award \u00a9Hispanic Radio Conference 2012<\/p><\/div>\n Medallas de Cortez Awards were created to recognize excellence in the Hispanic Radio Marketplace. \u00a0Matt Cardenas of Los Angeles, California, got the award for “Sales Manager of the Year: Markets 1-25” and\u00a0El Gato KDLD-FM Los Angeles<\/a>\u00a0received the award for “Station of the Year: Markets 1-25.” \u00a0Cardenas is the leader for the national and local advertising the past three year for Entravision’s Los Angeles Radio Stations.<\/p>\n April 27, 2012<\/strong>: President and Chief Operating Officer of Entravision, Philip C. Wilkinson,<\/p>\n Philip C. Wilkinson \u00a9Entravision 2012<\/p><\/div>\n will be resigning from his position effective May 31, 2012. \u00a0Wilkinson has served this position since 1996 and has more than 25 of broadcasting experience and has been part of Entravision since 1982. \u00a0Although Wilkinson is stepping down from his current position, he will still be involved with the company. \u00a0He has entered a consulting agreement which will allow him to remain on the Board of Directors for Entravision and give advice to the company on strategic plans.<\/p>\n April 30, 2012<\/strong>: Entravision has made it a point of theirs recently to start to buy up bonds to try to handle the debt situation they are in. \u00a0The company plans on buying back from holders most of Entravision’s 8.75% Senior Secured First Lien Notes due 2017. \u00a0The company has $384 million outstanding to Wells Fargo Bank, but Entravision has guaranteed to give $20 million in face value to the bank. \u00a0What this tells us is that Entravision is in a place to begin to the process to fill in their debts and get themselves on good terms financially with the bank.<\/p>\n 1.
