Belo Corporation Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n
Belo Corp. started as a Texas newspaper company in 1842.\u00a0 The company was previously known as A.H. Belo Corp. after Alfred Horatio Belo, an early owner of the company.\u00a0 However, early in 2008, the company spun off and kept the name A.H. Belo and the television business took the Belo Corp. name.\u00a0 Belo is now a Dallas-based media company, which owns 20 commercial broadcasting television stations and two regional 24-hour cable news television channels.\u00a0 Its headquarters are located in the Belo Building in downtown Dallas.<\/p>\n
