{"id":2065,"date":"2015-09-15T18:46:59","date_gmt":"2015-09-15T18:46:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bejone03.expressions.syr.edu\/trf594\/?p=2065"},"modified":"2015-09-15T18:55:57","modified_gmt":"2015-09-15T18:55:57","slug":"the-grinder-post-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bejone03.expressions.syr.edu\/trf594\/2015\/09\/15\/the-grinder-post-2\/","title":{"rendered":"The Grinder &#8211; Post 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As reported in late August, a new face officially joined the team of <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fox.com\/the-grinder\">The Grinder<\/a><\/em>\u00a0for Fall 2015.\u00a0Ben Wexler, from\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt2980734\/\">The Comedians<\/a><\/em>, signed an overall deal with\u00a020th Century FOX producers.<\/p>\n<p>As Wexler joins <em>The Grinder,\u00a0<\/em>Greg Malins gets swapped out. Malins is said to have exited the series for creative differences. I found it interesting to read on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\">The Hollywood Reporter <\/a>(THR)\u00a0website that this is not the only show that has experienced its share of new showrunners for the upcoming season. On that same note, <i>The Grinder<\/i> has actually\u00a0become the fourth first-year series to change its showrunner.<\/p>\n<p>THR\u00a0makes note of the increased pressure for new shows to make their mark fast, and gain as many ratings as possible. As the growing landscape of television viewing continues to change, ratings are scarce and hard to hold on to.<\/p>\n<p>These types of decisions come as production heats up in August and cuts start being made to find the clearest pathway to success for a new series.
