Code Black is set to premiere tonight at 10 pm, up against\u00a0Nashville\u00a0<\/a><\/em>and\u00a0Chicago P.D<\/em>.<\/a> Nashville already premiered last week<\/a> with a 1.2 rating in adult
\n\"Unknown-2\"\u00a018-49 ,which was down from last years premiere rating of 1.5. It wasn’t up against any other premiering shows, but it still had the lowest number of viewers compared to all the other networks that night. These numbers can be beneficial for\u00a0Code Black <\/em>because if\u00a0Nashville\u00a0<\/em>didn’t draw in\u00a0a big audience when it had no competition, it can mean that
\nviewers are more likely to give\u00a0Code\u00a0Black\u00a0<\/em>a chance and watch the premiere.<\/p>\n

However, Chicago P.D<\/em> is also premiering its first episode of the season tonight at 10 pm.
\nThe show is in its third season which means it already has an established and loyal fanbase. In last years premiere episode,\u00a0Chicago P.D\u00a0<\/em>had a 1.9 rating in adults 18-49, which was down .10 from the season one premiere, but up from the season 1 finale which earned a 1.6 rating. It also won the hour<\/a> and beat out ABC, CBS, and FOX, so it poses a potential threat to\u00a0Code Black’s <\/em>ratings tonight.<\/p>\n

\nCritics have given Code Black\u00a0<\/i>mixed reviews, but as a pilot show, it will hopefully be able to draw in curious viewers that might not be watching television at 10 pm otherwise. I am interested to see how it competes with\u00a0Nashville<\/em>, and if it is able to beat\u00a0Chicago P.D<\/em> in viewership.<\/p>\n
