However, Morris Chestnut, who plays lead role of Dr. Rosewood, has been receiving some praise for his charisma and good looks in the comedy-drama series. Many critics argue that Chestnut\u2019s personality and charm is simply not enough to hold the series together. The show holds a 7% score on Rotten Tomatoes, due to the series lack of originality and \u201cwow-factor\u201d. Top critic, Margaret Lyons writes, \u201cRosewood is a snooze and a half. The dialogue is awful, the series largely humorless, and every move that happens in the pilot is something you&#8217;ve seen done better elsewhere.\u201d Thus, a lot of the reviews about \u201cRosewood\u201d revolve around the fact that the series has been done before.
