{"id":2317,"date":"2015-10-18T19:01:28","date_gmt":"2015-10-18T19:01:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bejone03.expressions.syr.edu\/trf594\/?p=2317"},"modified":"2015-10-18T19:01:28","modified_gmt":"2015-10-18T19:01:28","slug":"scream-queens-post-7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bejone03.expressions.syr.edu\/trf594\/2015\/10\/18\/scream-queens-post-7\/","title":{"rendered":"Scream Queens &#8211; Post #7"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Scream Queens<\/em> has been receiving some strong backlash lately from <a href=\"http:\/\/w2.parentstv.org\/blog\/index.php\/2015\/09\/16\/scream-queens-belongs-on-premium-cable\/\">The Parents Television Council<\/a> for showcasing \u201cgraphic decapitations and discussions of necrophilia\u201d.<br \/>\nAlthough the comedic horror is rated age appropriate for 14-year-olds and airs at 7 pm in some time zones, the council doesn\u2019t find these topics to be suitable for such an audience. Arguments are increasing against the show\u2019s excessive use of violence, general nastiness and sexualized dialogue. Parents are warned to keep their children and teens as far away from viewing this program as possible.<\/p>\n<p>The most surprising fo<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2318 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/bejone03.expressions.syr.edu\/trf594\/files\/2015\/10\/scream-queens-ptc-mcdonalds1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"scream-queens-ptc-mcdonalds1\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bejone03.expressions.syr.edu\/trf594\/files\/2015\/10\/scream-queens-ptc-mcdonalds1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bejone03.expressions.syr.edu\/trf594\/files\/2015\/10\/scream-queens-ptc-mcdonalds1-450x300.jpg 450w, https:\/\/bejone03.expressions.syr.edu\/trf594\/files\/2015\/10\/scream-queens-ptc-mcdonalds1.jpg 618w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>cus within these complaints is how <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mcdonalds.com\/us\/en\/home.html\">McDonalds<\/a>, an active advertiser during the show, is being urged to stop its affiliation with the program. The Council states how these weekly commercials reflect the brand\u2019s positive stance on sexual fantasies with corpses and senseless killings.
