The characters had similar costumes on and dialogue. \u00a0The opening scene of the episode was nearly a shot for shot remake from the film. The reason why Limitless was like this is because one of the executive producers of the show is a big fan of Ferris Bueller. I think this was an bold\u00a0move because the film is a comedy and the show is a drama. The blend of genres must have made last night&#8217;s episode interesting to watch for viewers questioning why there were references to an 80&#8217;s movie in a new drama series entirely unrelated.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/thenypost.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/11\/tv_limitless_robes_duo1a.jpg?quality=100&amp;strip=all&amp;w=945\" alt=\"\" width=\"945\" height=\"630\" \/>Viewers seemed to have enjoyed it because the show&#8217;s ratings increased slightly over the previous week. \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com\/2015\/10\/28\/tuesday-final-ratings-oct-27-2015\/480890\/\">Last week&#8217;s episode<\/a> of Limitless yielded a 1.4 rating and an audience of 7.45 million. <a href=\"http:\/\/tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com\/2015\/11\/04\/tv-ratings-tuesday-flash-and-ncis-new-orleans-hit-season-highs\/481874\/\">Last night&#8217;s episode<\/a> had an initial 1.5 rating and 7.84 million people watching.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last night&#8217;s episode of Limitless featured a lot of hidden references to Ferris Bueller&#8217;s Day Off.
