Both were cowriters on the film &#8220;Exodus: Gods and Kings&#8221; (2014), which received much criticism due to the lack of diversity in casting. In interviews, Cooper and Collage have stated the impact that criticism had on the making and casting for &#8220;Of Kings and Prophets&#8221;. With a delayed release date, Cooper, Collage and the rest of ABC are hoping for great success from the show referring to it as a &#8220;non-dragon version of Game of Thrones&#8221;. Other Bible-related shows, such as NBC&#8217;s &#8220;A.D. The Bible Continues&#8221; (2015) have not seen much success averaging 1.06 rating and 5.4 million viewers over the course of last season.
