Ghosted<\/em>\u00a0is a new half hour comedy coming to Fox on October 1st<\/sup>. Starring and Executive Produced by Adam Scott and Craig Robinson, the show certainly has the comedic pedigree to succeed. Adam Scott has featured in arguably two of the\u00a0best sitcoms of the last 20 years<\/a>:\u00a0Parks and Recreation<\/em>\u00a0and the oft-overlooked\u00a0Party Down,<\/em>\u00a0and Robinson is perhaps best known for his role on another comedy juggernaut:\u00a0The Office<\/em>. Their past projects speak not only to the talent of the two stars but also their taste level, which could bode well for their new Fox comedy.<\/p>\n

Those\u00a0working behind the scenes<\/a>\u00a0on Ghosted<\/em>\u00a0have impressive resumes as well: director Jonathan Krisel counts\u00a0SNL<\/em>,\u00a0Portlandia<\/em>, and\u00a0Baskets<\/em>\u00a0among his projects, and writer Kevin Etten has worked on\u00a0Scrubs<\/em>,\u00a0The Late Show with David Letterman<\/em>, and\u00a0Workaholics<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Of course, there are countless examples of talented people taking major missteps (Book of Henry<\/em>\u00a0may have just cost\u00a0Colin Trevorrow<\/a>\u00a0his\u00a0Star Wars<\/em>\u00a0job), and even a good product doesn\u2019t necessarily translate into good\u00a0ratings<\/a>.\u00a0Up against<\/a>\u00a0NBC\u2019s\u00a0Sunday Night Football,\u00a0<\/em>CBS\u2019\u00a0Wisdom of the Crowd\u00a0<\/em>(new, premiering Oct 1) and ABC\u2019s\u00a0To Tell the Truth<\/em>,\u00a0Ghosted<\/em>\u00a0is the only sitcom in its 8:30p timeslot. This counter-programming strategy has had\u00a0mixed results for Fox<\/a>\u00a0on Sunday nights, so we\u2019ll have to wait and see whether\u00a0Ghosted<\/em>\u00a0can succeed where so many others have failed.<\/p>\n
