After numerous attempts to recreate the original <em>Dynasty <\/em>series, CW was finally able create a successful launch. With the talented Josh Schwartz as executive producer, the show has promising results given his work on previous hits such as <em>The O.C. <\/em>and <em>Gossip Girl<\/em>. <em>Dynasty <\/em>has the bar set fairly high after the original series won the Golden Globe\u2019s Best Television Drama Series in 1983 and scored nominations in this category 5 years in a row. However, Schwartz believes that because \u201cwe are living in an age of dynasties\u201d there is no better timing for a remake of this series. It reveals the corrupt world of betrayal and murder by following the lives of 2 of America\u2019s wealthiest families, The Carringtons and the Colbys, as they fight for control over their money and children.
