{"id":3315,"date":"2017-10-03T14:03:08","date_gmt":"2017-10-03T14:03:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bejone03.expressions.syr.edu\/trf594\/?p=3315"},"modified":"2017-10-03T14:03:08","modified_gmt":"2017-10-03T14:03:08","slug":"ten-days-in-the-valley-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bejone03.expressions.syr.edu\/trf594\/2017\/10\/03\/ten-days-in-the-valley-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Ten Days in the Valley #4"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Ten Days in the Valley<\/em> premiered this past Sunday, October 1st, and as the ratings and reviews have rolled out over the last 48 hours, it appears that the first episode tanked. \u00a0The series saw an unfortunate 0.6 rating (reader grade \u201cB\u201d) amongst the 18-49 demographic, their key audience, and the premiere reeled in a short 3.5 million viewers.\u00a0<em>Ten Days in the Valley<\/em> was set behind a heavy blocking of non scripted television programming, <em>Toy Box,\u00a0<\/em>which received a 0.4 adult rating for the episode, and <em>Shark Tank<\/em>, which received a 1.1 adult rating for the episode. Deadline writes, \u201cit\u2019s virtually impossible for a series to recover from such a low start, so Ten Days\u2019 days may be numbered.\u201d \u00a0Variety slammed the pilot, noting that <em>TDITV<\/em> attempts to balance a lot of different ideas and characters, but the more that the show attempts to come off as deep-rooted and intense, the more drama-heavy and ridiculously outstretched it appears.
