Now in its second week, the ratings fell by 0.6 to land at 1.0 for A18-49. In online reviews, it received a lukewarm <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rottentomatoes.com\/tv\/me_myself_and_i\/s01\/\">62%<\/a> on Rotten Tomatoes&#8217; Tomatometer.<\/p>\n<p>While the show certainly went through the pains of achieving the three-tiered narrative between young, middle-aged, and old Alex, as described in its <a href=\"http:\/\/deadline.com\/2017\/05\/instinct-seal-team-s-w-a-t-wisdom-of-the-crowd-9jkl-me-myself-i-comedies-cbs-series-orders-1202091987\/\">logline<\/a>, critics lamented that the structure did nothing to enhance the story. In fact, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/review\/me-myself-i-review-1042736\"><em>The Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a> criticized Kopelman for even including the future, as he lacked the vision or insight to execute it. More than one critic described the show as a failed attempt to replicate NBC&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbc.com\/this-is-us?nbc=1\"><em>This Is Us<\/em><\/a>, which also toggles between decades, albeit much more purposefully and successfully.\u00a0<em>Me, Myself and I&#8217;s <\/em>problem is not that it failed to live to its logline, but that it only lived up to its <a href=\"http:\/\/deadline.com\/2017\/05\/instinct-seal-team-s-w-a-t-wisdom-of-the-crowd-9jkl-me-myself-i-comedies-cbs-series-orders-1202091987\/\">logline<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Me, Myself and I is not failing critically or commercially (yet), but it is not thriving either.
