A major competitor will be ABC\u2019s <em>Modern Family<\/em>, a multigenerational family comedy, as it also airs at 9:00 PM. <em>Modern Family <\/em>and <em>Dynasty <\/em>have similar target audiences, both including teenagers and middle-aged adults. Although <em>Modern Family <\/em>has consistently held the lead demographic on Wednesday nights, a recent <a href=\"http:\/\/tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com\/daily-ratings\/tv-ratings-wednesday-oct-4-2017\/\">TV By The Numbers <\/a>article stated that it reached its third-lowest mark ever of 1.9 in ratings. Similarly, Wednesday\u2019s collective ratings for the big 4 networks which include ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC decreased 30% from the premiere week in 2016. With this decrease in ratings, CW is put at an advantage with their upcoming debut of <em>Dynasty. <\/em>Reports show that CW has maintained a steady audience unlike these other networks. <em>Dynasty\u2019s <\/em>other competitors include CBS\u2019s <em>Seal Team<\/em>, Fox\u2019s <em>Star, <\/em>and NBC\u2019s <em>Law &amp; Order: SVU<\/em>. The question is if whether or not lost viewers for the big network shows will shift their attention towards <em>Dynasty<\/em>.
