Russian Media Group LLC (RMG) is an American privately owned Television station group that provides Russian language television services to households in the United States. [1] It distributes satellite-delivered packages of in-language Russian television channels. [2] The group produces two of its own Russian television channels. [6]
The company is based in Fort Lee, NJ.
It was founded by its President and CEO, Mark S. Golub in 2000. [1]

They target Russian-speaking households, professional businesses and universities that reside in the United States. [1]
The group is known for Russian Television Network of America (RTN),[1] which distributes its own package of 12 Russian language channels via satellite including Shalom TV, which is America’s National Jewish Television Cable Network, available in more than 40 million households in the United States and Canada. In April of 2003, Russian Media Group llc made available “RTN platinum” package which includes three channels: “RTR Planeta”, “RTN” and “Russian World.”
Also, The launch of “RTR’s Planeta”, solidifies the relationship between RTR, the leading television company in Russia and Russian Media Group (RMG) the leading distribution company of Russian-language content in America. [14]
They have had a yearly net sales $ 7,600,000 in 2011 [5]
From Jan-March 2010,[12] Russian Media Group llc was involved in a legal dispute. They sued Cable America, claiming that they had pirated Russian language channel illegally. [11], [13]

Mark S. Golub– President, CEO
He helped created the Russian Television Network and served as its President and Executive Producer until selling it to the Ethnic American Broadcasting Company. He then bought back the Russian television service from Ethnic American Broadcasting Company’s bankruptcy in 2000. [1]
He was ordained as a Reformed Rabbi before returning to the broadcast industry.Thus, he is very pro-active in the Russian Jewish community.[1] He was praised by Newsweek as one of America’s most influential rabbis. [2]
He is CEO and president of Shalom TV. [4]
He has a national award-winning program titled ‘L’Chayim’ [4]
Russian Media Group also promotes Jewish culture in the Russian community through its main channel of RTN. So much so that RTN’s programming features Mark Golub hosting regular English and Hebrew lessons. Also, He produces Shalom TV which further promotes Jewish culture.

Online TV internet channel of the fund “Russian World” Television shows and Movies depicting Russian culture, traditions and language from the village to the city. It broadcasts 24 hours a day, everywhere in the room. There objective is the dissemination and promotion of Russian language culture. [8]

Is the largest and most popular Television channel in Russia and has gained popularity abroad. They produce unique entertainment, news, analytical content. Channel 1 also broadcasts world premieres, sports, and musical events and release Russian Films that are very successful in the box office. [9]
