Quantico Pre-Pemiere #1

Quantico’s logline is, “A diverse group of recruits has arrived at the FBI Quantico Base for training. They are the best, the brightest and the most vetted, so it seems impossible that one of them is suspected of masterminding the biggest attack on New York City since 9/11,” a pretty bold statement for very intriguing drama. It premieres Sunday September 27 at 10pm, a very significant timeslot.

In the broadcast world there isn’t much competition for the show; CBS will be airing a new show called cyber (which definitely isn’t getting the same PR push that Quantico has been getting), NBC will sometimes have football, and there isn’t any new show premiere on FOX. However the real competition will be from cable; on AMC the Talking Dead is on at the same time, as well as Showtime’s Masters of SEX, I’m also going to throw in Bravo’s Don’t be Tardy and Manzo’d with Children (split into two half hour segments) because of the demographics they reach. This show is described as a mixture between Grey’s Anatomy and Homeland (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/josh-safran-mark-gordon-team-733837) which means all the above cable shows have audiences that Quantico is looking to attract.
