Bordertown

Bordertown has been struggling since its airing so it should come as no surprise that they are continuing to struggle and may even be cancelled. After this past weeks ratings, the show would be very lucky to live on. With a rating of 0.4 in the 7PM hour on Sunday, the show is showing to be on a continual decline. Hopefully nobody loves this show because it will most likely not be around for too much longer, if at all.

Bordertown

Bordertown saw a drastic increase in viewership from last week’s ratings. This was primarily due to the fact that Fox changed the time slot that the show airs on from 9:30 on Sunday nights to 7:00. This change in time slot seemed to be just what Bordertown needed in order to help their chances of staying alive and avoid being cancelled. Last week, during the 9:30 time slot, Bordertown received a rating of 0.7 in the 18-49 demographic with 2.6 million viewers overall. This weeks received a rating of 1.5 in the 18-49 demographic with 5.6 viewers overall. It will be interesting to see how the show does in this new time slot in weeks to come. Either it will grow viewership from what it has been getting on average or the show will most likely be cancelled due to the success of competing programs.

Bordertown

In the midst of an unordinary presidential race, Bordertown uses humor to shed light on controversial issues. It is unarguable that this year’s presidential race has gone off the beaten path and has brought up some controversial issues that have become the subject of much criticism. Often times, controversy breeds comedy. The creator of this show lives  and eats off of this tactic and displays this in Bordertown. Although seemingly written alongside the presidential race and specifically Donald Trump’s view on immigration, Bordertown was written two years ago with the idea that immigration would be an ongoing topic of discussion for years to come. Bordertown uses the topic of immigration in an unfiltered way, much like many other comedic cartoons do. Although the show’s topic is one that is of prominent discussion, the humor is seeming to fail to reach the audience and the show has still not garnered much success.

Bordertown

Bordertown has been struggling with popularity and viewership since its premiere on Fox this season. The show aims to attract viewers from other cartoon comedies such as Family Guy which, like Bordertown, is also written by Seth Macfarlane. The show seems to be failing at finding that same niche audience and this is very apparent through reviews, social media presence, and ratings.

Bordertown seems to have a very minuscule social media presence despite attempts to advertise and popularize this show. Currently the show has a Twitter account which has roughly 2,000 followers, a very poor following for a new comedic show. Their Facebook page has yet to garner much success either with their page having only 10,000 likes. Lastly, their presence on Instagram has also been subpar with the hashtag #Bordertown only being used 13,000 times. With a slow start to the show it will be interesting to see how much success and viewership they will receive in episodes to come
