The Walt Disney company is one of the most diversify international entertainment company. They operate in many different sectors such as Disney media Network( broadcasting, cable, publishing…), Disney Parks and Resorts, The Walt Disney Studios (Movies, Music, TV), Disney Consumer Products (merchandising) and Disney Interactive (digital media platforms). Overall, all those segments have been added overtime. Furthermore, this corporation is established in a variety of Countries such as Japan, France, Australia, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, Romania and many others. However, this report will only focus on a section of The Walt Disney Studios as it will only explore the recent TV department news.

Originally, this company was called Buena Vista Television Communications and was launched in September 1995. But the following year the company acquired Capital Cities Communications. In addition, in 2001, Disney/ Buena Vista Television group also acquired Saban entertainment and Fox Family Worldwide. And in 2002, the company changed its name to Disney/ABC Television Group. Additionally,today due to their collaboration with Apple, the company was the first to benefit from the hit TV series via Itunes.
